Betts Townsend Taylor were appointed as Turnkey contractors responsible for the concept and detailed design development. A full team comprising of architect, interior designer, quantity surveyor, mechanical, electrical, fire, security and IT engineers were all employed by BTT and together developed the co-ordinated and detailed design subsequently signed off by the client representative. The project was fast tracked and successfully completed in two months.
The project was located in the heart of Sandton and included the gutting of an existing office floor and thereafter the fitout of a premium grade office comprising of offices and open plan offices, acoustically treated meeting and boardrooms, phone booths, fully fitted kitchen and canteen and a brand new server room. Although the overall floor area was marginally under 700m2, the project included HVAC coordination and installation, smoke detection, office and feature lighting with occupancy sensors, structured cabling, audio visual, CCTV and access control.
Fire clearance and all other CoC’s were issued and an occupation certificate obtained.
